1. What are the documents required for buying banglalink new connection?
Ans:
Individual Customer
a. Two (2) copies of recent passport-size photographs
b. Valid Photo identity or duly filled BTRC 2006 form signed by 1st class gazetted officer. (Examples of Valid photo identity include Driver's License, Voter ID, Student ID, Gun License etc.)
Company/ Organization
a. Trade License/VAT Registration/Registration from respective authority
b. Certificate of incorporation (In case of public limited company)
c. Proof of address through any utility bills photocopy where the said address is mentioned.
2. What are the necessary requisites to avail After Sales Service?
Ans:
To ensure any after sales service, customers' valid signature (as signed the original subscription form) is necessary.
* We do not require valid signature for all after sale services. (just for those services which require filling up forms like SIM replacement, TOS, Address Change, IB Continue or IB Stop etc.). For services like reconnection, bill check etc. no signature verification is required.
3. What should customers do with the documents that he/she receives from purchasing banglalink connection?
Ans:
Customers should preserve the following subscription documents to ensure after Sales Service and any future references:
a. Subscription Form (Subscriber's Copy)
b. Purchase Money Receipt
c. Welcome Letter with the Starter/SIM Replacement Kit e.g. SIM, PIN and PUK Information HandseAns: It takes 24 to 48 hours for a new postpaid connection to be activated. Prepaid connections are already activated.
5. What is PIN or PUK code?
Ans:
PIN - Personal Identification Number (PIN is used to guard against unauthorized use of SIM Card.) PUK - Personal Unblocking Key (PUK 1 is used to unblock PIN 1)
6. What to do if your PIN or PUK codes get blocked?
Ans:
If customers enter incorrect PIN code 3 times in succession, the SIM card will be blocked. In this situation, customer will need the PUK code to unblock the SIM card. To unblock please follow the following process: enter PUK 1 then press OK > PIN 1 & press OK > PIN 1 & OK. Please remember that PUK 1 is needed for unblocking PIN 1. If anyone enters wrong PUK code TEN times, his/her SIM card will be permanently blocked.
7. How can banglalink Post -Paid customers get monthly bill statement?
Ans:
Via courier service, customers' monthly bill statement will be delivered to them within 2 and 3 working days for inside and outside Dhaka respectively from bill printing date of each bill cycle. In cases where customers did not receive his/her bill, they can contact our customer Service Centers.
8. What is the payment mode of banglalink?
Ans:
BL Customers can pay by
Cash, Credit Card
ATM/Debit Card
Cheque/DD
IVR/Auto Bills Pay & Q cash

9. How can a customer restrict outgoing/incoming calls? What to do if your password is blocked?
Ans:
Customer can restrict certain outgoing and incoming calls from his/her handset by using password. Default password for a new subscription is 0000. To change the password to another number, customer should follow the barring from handset menu or through the network specified GSM codes. This option is only relevant for post-paid customers.
10. Why does a phone disconnect for bill/ usage?
Ans:
If a customer crosses his or her credit limit then his or her service gets disconnected. This minimizes credit risk. For detail information about BL credit policy please visit

11. Do you need to pay for restoring your service after disconnection?
Ans:
Yes. If customer's monthly bill is more than his/her credit limit. For detail information about BL credit policy please visit

12. How to get an uninterrupted service from banglalink?
Ans:
By paying regularly or customers can increase his or her deposit and have a higher credit facility. For detail information about BL credit policy please visit

13. How can you bar your service in case of SIM is lost?
Ans:
If customer lost his/her mobile set or SIM by any reason, he/she should request us in writing through fax or personally visit our nearest CSC or Franchise Shop to block the SIM.
14. How to you restore the service if you get back the SIM?
Ans:
If customer gets back his/her lost mobile set or SIM, he/she should request us in writing through fax or personally visit our nearest CSC to release the SIM.
15. How long would it take to get ISD activated in existing Non ISD package after request upon payment?
Ans:
It will take 8 to 10 hours from receiving the application.
16. What is a pulse?
Ans:
A pulse is the broken down time duration for which the customer is billed. It provides the customer with the benefit of being billed for almost exactly or close to the duration for which he actually talks. A pulse can come in various durations like: 15 seconds, 30 seconds or even 1 second. In case of a 30 second pulse, if the customer talks for 20 seconds he would be billed for the 30 seconds. Without the benefit of the 30 second pulse, the customer would have been billed for the total one minute, leaving him with the unused but billed airtime of 40 seconds.
17. What is a peak and off peak hour?
Ans:
During peak hours (8 am to 8 pm) the tariff rate is more compared to off peak hours which is 8 pm to 11 pm. There is also a late night hour (11 pm to 8 am) where tariff rate can go down further. Also during Friday and Public holidays off peak rate is applicable for peak hours.
18. What is a security deposit?
Ans:
A security deposit is the upfront payment a customer has to make before availing the post paid connection. Customer line can be barred if he/she crosses the security deposit or reaches a certain amount over the security deposit.
19. Can the security deposit be increased by the customer?
Ans:
Yes, the deposit can be increased by the customer if he wants to.
20. Customer wants to open ISD, what exactly is the requirement about outstanding bill? Are we all giving similar information?
Ans:
For CU customer: Customers outstanding should be half of his security deposit. For Upper Class customer: customer's security deposit has to be minimum Tk. 2500 (Line must be NWD) and his dues will be half of his security deposit.
21. What is Airtime?
Ans:
The time you spend actually connected to the banglalink Network. Airtime encompasses the time that passes between the moment you press SEND and the moment you press END. Whenever you place calls on your wireless phone, or retrieve messages, you're using banglalink Wireless airtime.
