  BTRC regulations & Re-registration

Re-registration of banglalink users (pre-paid and post-paid) who purchased connections before February 28, 2006

As per instructions from the Government of Bangladesh and BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission) all respected banglalink customers (pre-paid and post-paid) are requested to re-register their connections from the nearest banglalink care center, banglalink point or banglalink service point.

Customers are requested to re-register before May 31, 2008 and this is fully free of cost

The items that have to be produced while re-registering are:

1) Your banglalink SIM
2) 2 passport sized photographs
3) Identification material (e.g. ID card; driving license or photocopy of passport; or if no identification
     material is available an identification certificate called "prottoyon potro" attested by a
     first class gazette officer)
4) Properly filled out Registration (SAF) Form.


BTRC regulations

As per instructions from the Government of Bangladesh and BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission) the items that have to be produced while purchasing a new mobile connection are:

1) 2 passport sized photographs
2) Identification material (e.g. ID card; driving license or photocopy of passport; or if no identification
     material is available an identification certificate called "prottoyon potro" attested by a first class
     gazette officer)
3) Properly filled out Registration (SAF) Form.

The procedures of filling out a SAF form are given below:

1) Giving a finger print on the top right of the form
2) Placing the same correct and updated information regarding picture, address of company in the
     SAF form and Prottoyon Potro
3) Complete address of permanent residence
4) complete address of current residence
5) Seal and signature of the seller
6) Placing the same signature at the front and back of the form
7) Placing passport sized photographs attested by first class gazette officer or seller
8) Placing the sticker of the SIM in the proper place
9) Writing the mobile connection number and SIM kit number properly at the bottom of the form.


These rules and regulations have been made as per BTRC policy.

What we are doing as a responsible operator:

banglalink has instructed all sales points through out the country not to sell a single connection without necessary papers and documents. To purchase a new connection a customer has to all the necessary documents mentioned above. Besides, banglalink is also giving emphasis on filling up the subscription form with accurate information. In addition, we are also driving an awareness building campaign in the retail level and all consumer touch-points.
