SMS Roaming is an innovative cost effective roaming solution. No matter where you are, you will stay connected to your friends, family, and business partners. With SMS Roaming, you will be able to send and receive SMS while roaming in 376 operators in 136 countries. You will not be able to make and receive voice calls.
Why should I avail SMS Roaming?
Your roaming costs will be less as sending an SMS is less expensive than making/receiving a voice call.
Receiving SMS is free whereas receiving a call while roaming normally incurs charges.

How can I avail SMS Roaming?
To avail SMS roaming, you will need to register for this service at our Customer Care Centers at Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Bogra, Mymensingh, and Barisal.
You will need the following to register for SMS Roaming:
1. A banglalink enterprise personal or corporate postpaid connection (excluding Call & Control).
2. International Credit Card with at least 3 months validity period.
3. Proof of Nationality like national ID Card, Passport, Driving License etc.
Please follow the below steps to register for SMS Roaming:
Step 1: Visit any of the Banglalink Customer Care Centers mentioned above with the above mentioned papers
Step 2: Ask assistance from our Customer Care Representatives,
Step 3: Properly complete the International Roaming Form.
Step 4: Submit all the required papers with the signed International Roaming Form to Banglalink Customer Care Representative.
Step 5: Sign the Auto Bills Pay or Standing Instruction for roaming bill payment from your Credit Card. By signing the Auto Debit section of the International Roaming Form, you authorize banglalink to debit your account when your roaming bill is generated at month end or whenever your IR usage is close to your credit limit. This will ensure uninterrupted service while traveling abroad and eliminate the hassle to pay roaming bills by coming to the Care Centers in person.
You will be registered for the service after verification of your papers.
What will be my credit limit for using SMS Roaming?
Normally credit limit for SMS Roaming usage will be BDT 1000. The BDT 1000 is applicable for both local and Int'l roaming usage.
You can pay extra security deposit through your Int'l Debit/Credit card for SMS Roaming Usage. This will ensure uninterrupted service.
How can I use SMS Roaming?
Make sure your SMS Center number is set correctly. Please use the international format +88019900557.
What are the charges for using SMS Roaming?
For sending SMS while roaming abroad: Foreign operator's SMS charge + applicable markup, VAT and other taxes. Please send an SMS to 7626 writing a country name to know the partners and charge for roaming in that country.
For receiving SMS while roaming abroad: No charge applicable for receiving SMS while roaming
For sending request for activation or deactivation request: 2.00 taka per SMS (without VAT)
Important things to remember:
All incoming and outgoing voice calls will be barred after activating SMS Roaming. So please complete all voice calls before activating SMS Roaming.
You must activate SMS Roaming while within Bangladesh. After you leave Bangladesh, you will not be able to activate SMS Roaming.
After returning to Bangladesh you have to deactivate SMS roaming to enjoy voice call facilities again.
The BDT 1,000 Credit Limit is applicable for both local and International Roaming usage.
