roaming charging principle

roaming call charges depends on the operator with whom you are roaming. when you make a call, send an sms, use gprs while roaming, the visited mobile network charges special rates for roamers. we simply bill you according to these rates adding a small markup. please also note that, these call rates are subject to exchange rate fluctuations and are exclusive of applicable vat, taxes, levies of the foreign operator.

when you receive any call while roaming abroad, the call is actually forwarded from bangladesh to the visiting country. so you will be charged banglalink local airtime + bttb international call charge (from bangladesh to visiting country). this forwarded isd call will appear in your local bill as roaming call forwarding (rcf).

paying roaming bill

you can pay your roaming bill in any of the following ways:

  • walk in to our customer care centre with your international credit card and pay your bill.

or

  • send a representative with a signed authorization letter (available with the bill) specifying (a) payable amount, (b) corresponding bill month and mentioning (c) credit card number, (d) your original roaming bill copy, and (e) both side photocopy of the credit card.

or

  • if you sign the standing order instruction, your roaming bill will be automatically paid from your international credit card. you do not need to come personally or send any representative for paying your roaming bill.

roaming credit limit

credit limit for international roaming usage is the same amount which the customer paid as security deposit. roaming deposit will be treated separately and cannot be adjusted to local deposit.

roaming info service

we have introduced sms based roaming info service where you can get roaming coverage and tariff information instantly anywhere in the world. just send an sms to 7626 from your banglalink mobile with a country name and you will receive the list of roaming partners available in that country along with the roaming call charges. gprs compatible operators will have an indication (g) after their names.

example:

send "thailand" to 7626 and you will receive a return sms like: [partner:  dtac, true move (g). pin/stk:1234/banglalink » roaming » banglalink, calls to mobile: tk. xx, fixed: xx, callback to bd: xx, sms: xx.] here true move is gprs compatible, meaning you can use gprs facility if you select true move.

alternatively, call our customer care for the list of countries where we have preferred roaming partners.
